Our Mission
Directly impacting our community; helping those who help others. We proudly serve the underprivileged, youth and veterans by providing essential products to local non-profit organizations.
Our Story
In 2010, business partners Greg Bales and Kasia Maslanka were flipping houses in South Florida. They shared a generous philanthropic philosophy as well as a keen business acumen, and made a commitment to give back 20% of every job to area nonprofits through in-kind donations and labor.
Providing home improvement work for group homes and other local nonprofit organizations led the duo to consult with the Home Depot Foundation and their partner, Good360, where they learned that they could create an even bigger opportunity to help more nonprofits. Good360, like them, wanted to use their resources to help charities better serve their missions. Later that year, Greg and Kasia opened Morningday Community Solutions: the first warehouse in Florida committed to redistributing donated retail merchandise solely to area nonprofits.
Greg and Kasia remain very involved in guiding and supporting MCS. Their vision and commitment, along
with the dedication of our passionate staff and volunteers, have prevented millions of pounds of retail waste and saved millions of dollars for hundreds of nonprofit organizations. Among our recent accomplishments:
• In 2019, MCS expanded to open its second warehouse location and increased service to Palm Beach County.
• In 2021, MCS was named Nonprofit of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals — Broward/Ft. Lauderdale Chapter.
• In 2022, MCS was recognized as the Most Innovative Nonprofit in Palm Beach County by Nonprofits First.
• In 2023, MCS expanded its Palm Beach County operation to 12,000 sq. ft.
• In 2023, MCS won a $100,000 Impact grant from Impact 100 Palm Beach County.
